Chief Chick Comments

Well, not a bad story as Sylvia Sidney, who received top billing, is a dead ringer for the Princess of Taronia who is down with the mumps and is needed to make the potential buyers of her country's bond issue comfortable and familiar with the tiny nation. Edward Arnold plays the Wall Street Banker (does any of this sound familiar?). Grant is a crusading newspaper editor who is determined to expose what he assumes is a bad dead for the average Joe in the middle of the Depression. Of course, he falls for Sidney, but she cannot tell him who she really is and knows she will lose him when he discovers the truth. Pretty good story for this early "talkie"
