Based on a book which was based on actual experiences by Bolivian Mennonites (but set in an unidentified American community), Women Talking is at times difficult to watch but also enlightening and thought provoking. This group of women and their young children have had to endure the unbearable actions of the men. The women are uneducated and cannot read. They begin to discuss what they can do: Nothing and pray for the men, fight back, or leave. Set in 2010 it is frightening to see that this kind of community can still exist.
