Chief Chick Comments

This is a psychological thriller which defies easy explanation. Tom, an American Professor and author, arrives in Paris to try to regain a relationship with his estranged wife and see his six year old daughter. He ends up in a shady hotel with a very shady job when he meets Margit, played by Kristin Scott Thomas, who is the widow of a Hungarian author. Odd things occur. Are they real or in his mind? Can he save his daughter? I don't understand it, but I enjoyed watching it. Part is in English with French subtitles. Joanna Kulig plays the Polish barmaid at his fleabag hotel.
