Chief Chick Comments

The opening of this movie is a delightful 4 minutes of Frank Sinatra singing the title song, Three Coins In the Fountain, to footage of all the beautiful fountains in Rome. While by today's standards, the outcome is predictable, you can still enjoy the courting rituals of 60 years ago. You can also admire Louis Jourdan, one of my favorite handsome actors, and Rossano Brazzi, who is always charming. Clifton Webb, as usual, plays himself opposite Dorothy McGuire. Maggie McNamara plays Maria, the newest arrival, in search of her "Prince". Jean Peters is the third. She later married Howard Hughes for those of you who like trivia!
