This ultimately charming movie begins with Pat being brought home by his mother from a mental treatment facility where he had agreed to go after attacking his wife's lover. His father, played by Robert De Niro is a wacky Philadelphia sports fan, and believes Pat is his lucky charm for his bets and bookie business. Meanwhie, Pat meets Tiffany who is mourning her husband and also under mental health care. The story is surprisingly humorous and charming.
