Big Lewbowski, The

(1998) - 117 min - R

"The Dude" actually named Jeff Lewbowski is mistaken for a rich man i.e. The Big Lewbowski when tough guys beat him up to recover the debts of a wife named Bunny. Bunny, it turns out, is a young former porno star now married to the wheelchair-bound Big Lewbowski. The Dude is actually a slovenly lazy unemployed guy who bowls with two friends for entertainment. When Bunny is kidnapped, Dude somehow gets even more involved in this stsory which has numerous angles and players. There are funny moments usually when Walter, The Dude's bowling buddy, goes a little wacko usually attacking or threatening others including John Turturro who is a strange but excellent bowler. The dream sequences are a little much but you do get to see a young Julianne Moore romping around with The Dude. She plays the daughter of The Big Lewbowski who wants the ransom money back. A bit long for my tastes. I think guys will enjoy it more than gals

The dream sequences are a little much but you do get to see a young Julianne Moore romping around with The Dude. She plays the daughter of The Big Lewbowski who wants the ransom money back. Philip Seymour Hoffman in an early role plays the assistant of The Big Lewbowski. A bit long for my tastes. I think guys will enjoy it more than gals
