This hilarious movie has received little publicity. I consider it a good pairing with "Secondhand Lions" another one of my little known but wonderful favorites. Starring Shirley MacLaine as Eva a recent widow and Jessica Lange as her best friend Maddie, the movie begins with Eva's husband's funeral. We soon find out that Maddie's husband is about to leave her for his much younger secretary. Soon a $5 million check arrives from the life insurance company; however, it was meant to be $50,000. After trying to reach the company, they decide instead to fly to the Canary Islands and to spend it! Billy Connolly supports as a forgetful man at their resort who romances Eva. Besides lots of laughter, I wanted to fly to the Canary Islands and have a mojito!
