Anna Kendrick stars as Beca who wants to be a music producer in Los Angeles but must go to college first according to her estranged Father who is a Professor at Barden University. Beca ends up being drafted into the Barden Bellas, an all girl A Cappella group, which regularly competes with The Treble Makers, the all male choir. Beca's love interest is Jesse played by Skylar Astin (no relation to Patty Duke) although Beca mostly pushes him away. Rebel Wilson as " Fat Amy" as she has named herself is the funniest part of the movie. Anna Kendrick is good but seems to me to be too old for the role of a college girl and certainly seems out of place with so much make up on when she is wearing ragged college clothes. Take a date if he likes music. Somewhat enjoyable, but fairly nerdy.
