This is a difficult movie to watch. A young man growing up in Miami whose mother is on drugs and who is small for his age is bullied yet occasionally finds a friend. Unless you are from the "Hood", I think it is hard to really understand what is being said or what is happening. Amid a lot of drama(if you watched the telecast) Mooonlight won Best Picture at the Academy Awards and Mahershala Ali(Hidden Figures) won for Best Supporting Actor, I can see its appeal but not for me.
