We all probably know that Thurgood Marshall was the first black member of the US Supreme Court appointed in 1968 by Lyndon Johnson. What you may not know is how he built his reputation as a defender of blacks falsely accused throughout the US on behalf of the NAACP. Chadwick Boseman plays Marshall as a confident, smart lawyer who has seen it all, often failing to help those innocents he has been sent to defend. This movie is an eye opener for some but for older viewers will look familiar. I think it is Oscar worthy. We will see.
