Chief Chick Comments

This magical movie is fairly faithful to F Scott Fitzgerald's novel of the same name. The homes, wardrobes, the lifestyles-all to excess are a wonder to behold. There are always clouds on the horizon, yet we want Jay and Daisy to reunite...at least at first. Nick, Daisy's second cousin, is persuaded to help the two meet again. Tom Buchanen, Daisy's husband, has a mistress, the wife of the local filling station proprietor. Fate and the natural tendencies of this rich set of people direct the outcome. " They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- They smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money". Watch the 1974 trailer. It is magical.
