Chief Chick Comments

Some men may enjoy this if the like historical dramas. Writtenby John Galsworthy who won a Nobel Prize, this is the story of the extended Forsythe Family through 3 generations. Soames is played by Damian Lewis. The series is definitely mesmerizing and once you begin, it will be hard to stop. Jolyon is a free spirit and ends up marrying three times while Soames takes the view that society must be strictly structured and his wife is his possession. His story plays through the next 40 to 50 years as does Irene Forsythe who plays his wife. The homes are true Victorians except for one special home built originally by Soames. The scenery also is beautiful and the award winning music is wonderful.
