Love Benedict Cumberbatch and this group of excellent actors….in other films. This silly film is all about special effects and a very wierd story. I guess we are being set up for a series. The younger crowd and many men will love the science fiction nature of the movie, but I hated it. Dr Stephen Strange is an arrogant New York Neurosurgeon who finds himself broken after an auto accident. Eventually his search for healing leads him to Nepal where he meets The Ancient One played by Tilda Swinton. Eventually, he begins to learn their ancient arts and soon about their enemies. There are a few light moments which Cumberbatch pulls off. Your young man will probably like this if that makes a difference. You would have to pay me a lot of money to see this again

I am over 50 and loved this movie. I enjoyed spiritual/mystical components and even dreamed about the true nature of the universe that night---how we only see the surface and accept that as total reality. This is the newest part of the Marvel Universe, looks like a sequel will come up and Dr Strange may play a part in the next Thor. Stay till end credits for some short added scenes.
