Chief Chick Comments

Perhaps the most ornate, beautifully detailed I have ever seen. The dinner parties are fantastic. One cannot really imagine what these lengthy meals must have been like. The costumes, beautiful and very detailed as are the homes. Heartbreaking at times, yet you see an era which very few every experienced. It won the Oscar for best costume design and was nominated for four others. Daniel Day-Lewis gives yet another fantastic performance. Michelle Pfieffer convinces us as well, and Winona Ryder plays an innocent well. Compelling movie and story.
