Chief Chick Comments

Based on the struggle for voting rights in 1964 and the marches from Selma to Montgomery Alabama, the state capitol, this is a powerful movie, well acted. David Oylowo is fantastic as Martin Luther King Jr while Tom Wilkinson, and Englishman, does a fabulous President Lyndon Baines Johnson. While I was alive during these marches, I was young and not watching the national news. I did not realize that there were actually at least 3 marches with the last one ending up at the capitol building of Alabama where George Wallace sat at Governor. Some parts of this movie are hard to watch, but never-the-less, it is important one do so. And it is uplifting in many ways. Well acted, well cast. Very, Very Good!
