Chief Chick Comments

Violence…Check, Car Chases…Check, International Locations…Check. This movie should satisfy the thriller/violence appetities for those of you who have significant others with a desire for Jason Bourne films (The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, The Bourne Legacy…all starring Matt Damon except The Bourne Legacy). I have read the books and seen the movies. This is probably my least favorite although the story is a bit compelling. Nicky contacts Jason who is living as a bare knuckle boxer and provides him with files regarding his past, his Father, and his recruitment to the CIA as a covert operative. We visit Greece, Germany London, Washington DC, Rome, Vegas and perhaps a few others I forget. Love Matt Damon and the introduction of Alicia Vikander, one of my favorite actresses. Vikander plays Heather Lee now in charge of agency security and reporting to Tommy Lee Jones who again plays head of the CIA. She seems to have a secret and separate agenda but is one cool cat. Why is she fascinated with Bourne? Well, I guess we will find out in the next Bourne movie if there is one. In general, I like the Jason Bourne series of books and movies but the motives here especially by Jones's character are a mystery. The lightning fast chase scenes are interesting but so quick, you really have a hard time knowing what is going on. If you want to see a SWAT team vehicle mow through lines of cars in Las Vegas, this is the movie for you! Worth a watch to please the person in your life who may love these spy thrillers. The first show was 95% men and a couple of gals with their men.
