Fun story of Chef, Carl Casper, who is ordered by his restaurant's owner, Dustin Hoffman, to cook their traditional menu even though that night a very influential restaurant critic is coming for dinner. Carl, who is divorced with a 9 year old son Percy, loves to cook but loses it when a very bad review ensues. He is fired and really does not know what to do. Sofia Vergara plays his ex wife who talks him into accompanying her and Percy to Miami to visit her father and to look after Percy while she is working. Carl eventually gets a food truck specializing in Cuban food. He, his sous chef, and his son decide to drive the truck back to California and have adventures along the way. A very satisfying movie. The R rating is really just for occasional language.

I thought this movie was very original and quite humorous. Besides the great food, the relationship developing between father and son was delightful. And of course the 11 year old is more tech davy than the adults. I was amazed at all the big names in the movie..Dustin Hoffman..Scarlett Johansen..Sofia Vergara...Oliver Platt...Robert Downey Jr. I was so hungry after watching this movie but really enjoyed it.
